My first dog was a Wire‑haired Fox Terrier, after which I had a Borzoi and a Miniature Pinscher. In 1978, the Whippet became part of my life. The first Whippet litter under my kennel name “Woodbrooks” was born in 1980. Our dogs have been exported to 12 different countries, and they have been successful both in Finland and abroad. We have also bred a few Chihuahua litters, and nowadays we also have Wire‑haired Miniature Dachshunds.
Before becoming a judge, I handled many different breeds, which was very educational and valuable experience. I qualified as a judge in 1994, and I currently judge breeds in groups 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 10. In addition to my home country, I have judged in Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Russia, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Gibraltar, Israel, and Australia.
My other hobbies include gardening.
