Norway
My name is Tanja Hulsund. I have owned all varieties of Belgian Shepherds, have Shetland sheepdogs and Gordon setter. I feel humbled to be asked by the Finish Kennel club to come judging in Finland. Really looking forward to this!
I started with Tervueren and German shepherd in 1992. Over the years we have had several litters, under the kennel prefix Revehiet with Tervueren, Shetland sheepdog and Cairn Terrier. We have bred several show champions and I have been awarded International champion CIE and CIB with two of my home bred Tervueren with a prerequisite of working titles and temperament testing in order to achieve these awards. We work with all our dogs in obedience and tracking. I am also an FCI obedience judge.
Since becoming a judge, I have judged nationals and int shows in Norway, Holland, Finland, Germany, The Czech Republic, Hungary, Australia and USA. As a profession I work at the police in Trondheim Norway.
When judging I always have in mind that all GR 1 dogs are herding dogs. Angles that are good all over, also in the upper arm. Nice “feet” that shows a dog standing good on its feet, and in movement can hold for many hours of herding and working.
Temperament as in a happy dog is also special to me. Coat texture that is specific to each breed is important also.
