Sascha Paduch
Germany
I have been breeding pedigree dogs for over 25 years. In my kennel, “Paduch’s,” I have been successfully breeding Welsh Springer Spaniels, earning countless titles such as World Junior Winner and World Veteran Winner, among many others. In addition to exhibiting throughout Europe, working with dogs is my great passion. As a hunter, I also use Labradors, Spaniels and Dachshund for hunting. As a Group Judge of FCI Group 8 and a Special Breed Judge for Labradors and all Spaniel breeds, I have judged in many European countries. Judging offers me a wonderful opportunity to follow and accompany the development of a breed.
At the same time, judging is a responsible task. Because evaluation according to standards influences the breeding process and its original use, and certainly not least, the health of a breed. In particular, the aspect of “fit for function,” especially with hunting dog breeds, must always be considered in accordance with the breed standard. Equally important is a balanced and friendly disposition and, not to forget, the “will to please” towards its owner.
Since my commitment to pedigree dog breeding is very important to me, I served, among other positions, until 2024 as President of the German Jagd-Spaniel Klub, the largest spaniel club in Germany with all nine breeds. But what I don’t want to forget, and what is almost as important to me, is the continued opportunity to meet and get to know people from all over the world. I am honored to be a part of the Helsinki Dog Shows and am very much looking forward to judging your wonderful dogs and meeting you all!
