I was born in Lodi, a lovely historical town at around 30 km from Milano, Italy. I have been involved in dogs since my childhood, my family always owned dogs like English Setters, Spinone Italiano, Kurzhaars and German Shepherds but my very first dog was, of course, a Belgian Shepherd, my breed. I regularly breed Belgians Shepherds under the kennel name “Luavjan’s. There are plenty of “Luavjan’s” champions in different countries, Group winners, Best In Specialty Show Winners, Best In Show Winners and top dogs all over Europe. I’ve also bred European Winner and a UKC Champion and AKC Champion in USA. Most of my Belgian Shepherds practice sheepdog at the best levels. Some years ago I’ve decided to add a new member to my family, an outstanding Azawakh puppy girl. She gave me the chance to discover a wonderful, unique and native breed, so special and different by all the other breeds that I met or owned in my life. She really made the difference. She is, of course, Multi Champion and Group Winner. In the last 5 years I also have the privilege to share my life with a fantastic Griffon Bruxellois, a small breed with such a huge heart and personality. That’s why I have decided to work my way into the Toy and Utility Group. I judged in the following countries: Australia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Lithuania, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Holland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and U.S.A. In June 2013 I judged Belgian Shepherds at Milano World Dog Show. I’m an FCI judge for the following groups: FCI Group 1, 4, 5, 9 and 10 and am qualified to judge from group 2 Cane Corso and from group 8 English Cocker Spaniel, American Cocker Spaniel, Labrador, Golden Retriever, Lagotto Romagnolo, Portuguese Water Dog. In June 2026 I will also judge several breeds at the World Dog Show in Bologna.
