He was born and lives in Rome. Breeder member of the E.N.C.I (Italian Kennel Club), at present he breeds Chihuahuas, Japan Chin, Griffon Belge and Bruxellois with the “Di Rio Galeria” kennel name. His “canine” journey starts in 1988 breeding Yorkshire
Terriers; in the following years he expands his breeding experience with one of our Italian breeds: the Maltese and even Russian Toy and Griffon Bruxellois. He has been breeding Chihuahuas since 1995. He has bred World Champions, European Champions, International Champions and dogs bred by him have titled in many European and overseas countries. From 2001, he is a founding member of the Kennel Club Colosseo (Roman canine association in charge of the international dog show in Rome). He is a member of theClub Cani Compagnia, the E.N.C.I. approved club for group IX which includes breeds from both Toy and Utility/Non Sporting groups since 2008 as well as being a member of the Breeding Technical Committee, since 2008 he has been Vice President of the Italian Yorkshire Terrier Society: He’s also been a member of the E.N.C.I.’s Breeding Committee and E.N.C.I. & Italian Breeds Committee ENCI. He is the author of books about the Chihuahua breed, as well as author of technical articles about Chihuahuas, Russian Toys and Griffons written for their breed clubs, for the Italian Kennel Club and for specialized breed magazines. E.N.C.I. Expert Judge from 2012, ENCI Judging Coach for several breeds: Chihuahua, Yorkshire Terrier, Belgian Griffon, Griffon Bruxellois and Petit Brabancon. He has judged in: Italy, Sweden, Finland, Norway, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark,
Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia Republic, Serbia, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Montenegro, Argentine, Brazil & Australia.
He is qualified to judge all breeds in FCI groups 4, 5 and 9 and some breeds in groups 1 and 2 and Yorkshire Terrier in group 3.
