I graduated as a judge in 2010 and I am qualified to judge all breeds in groups 1, 3, 4, 5 and 10, only a couple of breeds in group 2 are missing. and groups 7 and 8 I have started. In my childhood home there was an Irish Setter and my first own dog was an Irish Wolfhound. However, in 1986, the first Bearded Collie that moved to us was born, a breed that I fell in love with completely. I have been breeding Bearded Collies for over 30 years and also for over 20 years Australian Terriers. I have been awarded the Vuolasvirta Prize for both breeds as soon as 10 litters had been born. In addition, in the -90’s I have bred three Giant Schnauzer litters. There has been at least one group winner in all the breeds I have bred, in addition to many BIG and BIS breeder group placements, especially in Bearded Collies. In both breeds, my breeds have been successful in the breed specialties. More than a third of my breeds are at least national champions and there are also several international champions. I especially appreciate unexaggeration, the balanced structure and the good movement when I judge the dogs, as well as when breeding dogs. I have been active in obedience training in my youth, also myself competed with my dogs in obedience, rally obedience and working dog sports. In addition, I have been a chairman of the Finnish Bearded Collie Club and memner in the breeding committee and I am representative of the breed organization in the SKL council. Dogs are a way of life for me rather than just a hobby. The little free time left after the dogs and the day job is spent enjoying my lovely grandchildren, taking photos and travelling.
