Dogs have accompanied me throughout my entire life. Both my father and grandfather were Saint Bernard breeders, and I fell in love with this breed as a little boy and have remained loyal to it to this day. As a result, a Saint Bernard dog has been by my side for more than 40 years. In 2005, I founded my own kennel under the name od Strážců hor. Since then, I have bred nearly 80 Saint Bernard litters and over 70 dogs become champions. So far I also bred 33 International Beauty Champions, as well as several World Winners, European Winners and WUSB Winners. A short-haired bitch from my kennel won the BOS title at Crufts. Three of my dogs, besides other achievements, won the Best in Show title at the WUSB Show (Denmark 2013, Germany 2014, Czech repbulic 2025), and dogs from my kennel have also repeatedly won BIS and Junior BIS titles at international dog shows both in the Czech Republic and abroad. Dogs from my kennel can be found in 26 countries worldwide. I love life with dogs. I have been actively involved in dog showing for over 20 years, presenting my dogs at shows throughout Europe. Since 2008, I have served as a breeding advisor, and since 2018 I am also President of the Saint Bernard Breeders’ Club of the Czech Republic. I become an exterior (conformation) judge in 2015 and I am an international judge for FCI Groups I and II, as well as some breeds from FCI Group X. I am also a junior handling judge. In addition to the Czech Republic, I have had the honor of judging dog shows in Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Norway, Poland, Austria, Russia, Slovakia and Switzerland.
