My own breed is West Highland White terriers and my dog life started when my parents bought a Westie male as a pet in 1972. The following year a bitch was bought and she was the first brood bitch in our family. As I only was a child then, it was my mother who was registered as the breeder under our prefix Wenrick. After a short time I became very interested in showing ang grooming of our westies and became a co-owner of the kennel prefix in the start of the 1980’s. Our breeding has always been very limited due to other commitments. During the years we have imported high quality westies from Great Briain, Sweden, New Zealand and also from Finland. I got my judging license in 2010 for elleven terrier breeds and continued my judging education the following years until 2022 when I was licensed for the rest of the breeds in Group 3. I have judged breed and terrierspecialties, national dog shows and international dog shows in Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Germany. For long periods during the last 40 years I have been involved in the breed club and the Terrier club in Norway, as board member and member of several committees in the clubs.
Thank you very much to the Finnish Kennel Club for the invitation to judge at the Helsinki Winner Shows. I’m very much looking forward to meeting you all there.
