Dogs have been a part of my life since childhood, starting with Papillons. I became involved in dog world for real when attending my first dog show at 11 years of age showing in junior handling, from there it was no turning back. Through the years I have shown and been involved in different breeds, along with spending quite a few summers working in the US for an all-breed professional handler and breeder of Papillons and Welsh corgi pembrokes. Alongside the show world I have also been involved in obedience and rally obedience with my dogs and am a rally obedience judge. I served on the youth committee of the Icelandic kennel club for many years, as well as in the show committee where I chaired the committee for some years until I became the president of the Icelandic kennel club in 2023. The breeds in our house through the years have been Papillon, Phaléne, Shetland sheepdog and White swiss shepherd. I became a show judge in 2024 and am licensed for breeds in groups 1, 4, 5 and 9. The Winner shows in Helsinki have been one of my favorite show weekends for many years, so I’m very much looking forward to judge some lovely dogs and junior handlers there this year!
