Finland

I am Erika Häkkinen and I became judge in 2014. My own breeds are Akita and American Akita, which I have bred in a small scale under prefix Great Flame’s. In 1998 it was time for the first American Akita and in 2015 the first Akita. In the beginning of 2000 I had also Welsh Corgi Pembrokes and even bred one litter. When I was child, we had at home a Rottweiler, Leonberger, Dandie Dinmont Terrier and Chinese Crested Dog. In 1998 I also started to act in different positions in different breed clubs and organizations.
I am one of the founder members of the Finnish American Akita Club and nowadays I am Chairman of the Finnish Akita Club. I am also member in some show committees. I am a tutoring judge for some breeds of FCI group 5 and I am stewarding regularly. I have been awarded the medal of the Finnish American Akita Club, silver and golden pin of the Finnish Companion Dog Club and silver pin of the Finnish kennel Club. I am qualified to judge all breeds of the FCI group 10, almost all breeds of the FCI group 5 and some breeds of the FCI groups 1, 2 and 6.
