Arto Toivanen

Arto Toivanen is based in Kouvola, Finland but originally comes from the heartlands of Savo near Kuopio. Dogs have been an integral part of his life since childhood and over the years he has owned several breeds including English Springer Spaniels, Cocker Spaniels, German Shepherd Dogs, Border Collies and Tibetan Spaniels. He began his breeding activities with Tibetan Spaniels and today breeds English Springer Spaniels and Border Collies on a small scale under the prefix Chairman’s. His main interests within the dog world include spaniel working aptitude tests, blood tracking and working dog sports – especially tracking – as well as conformation shows. He is licensed to judge breeds in FCI Groups 6 and 8. Outside his dog activities, Arto enjoys music, literature and fitness training, and is also an avid visitor to the theatre and cinema. He is very much looking forward to his judging appointment at the Helsinki Puppy Show.
