During the Dog Fair Finland weekend, nearly 13 600 dogs were seen at the dog shows, breed shows and dog hobby exhibitions at Messukeskus. In addition to the exhibitions, the fair offered a varied programme for all dog lovers.
The Dog Fair Finland attracted around 28 600 visitors in total. Several hundred volunteers from dog breeders’ associations were involved in the organisation of the fair, helping to set up the fair and organise the weekend’s events. A big thank you to everyone!
Best in Show at the Winner 2025 was bichon frisé
Best in Show at the Winner 2025 was Bichon Frisé Keymaker’s One More Crazy Trick, owned by Elina Keinänen and Hanna Kanerva. The Best in Show was chosen by Markku Kipinä.
The best veteran of the show was awarded to Northworth Pop Star, a cocker spaniel owned by Carita Toikka. The best veteran was chosen by Harri Lehkonen. The best breeder group was Reijo Portala’ s Quaint Scottish Terriers, judged by Danish Gunnar Nymann.

The 2025 junior handler national championship was won by Maisa Turunen. The final was judged by Svein Bjørnes from Denmark.

Hero Dogs of the Year awarded at the fair
As usual, the Hero Dogs of the Year were also awarded at the fair. Every year, the Kennel Club awards Hero Dogs to dogs that have made a significant contribution to saving one or more lives.
This year, 13 dogs were awarded the title of Hero Dog. The awards were presented in the Dog Fair Arena by Eeva Anttinen, Chair of the Kennel Club Council, Pirjo Onza, Executive Director of the Kennel Club and Jan Waronen, Sales Manager of Agria Animal Insurance.

Puppy show winner löwchen
The Dog Show also hosted the Winner Puppy Show 2025 on Sunday, with over 800 puppies competing. The winner was chosen by judge Sanna Vakkilainen as Royalgambler Lightning Strike, a Löwchen owned by Krista Nyman.

The best breeder group of the puppy show was the Ikurin Keeshondis of Pia Vatanen, Katariina Saarilahti and Ida Saarilahti . The breeders group was judged by Riitta Niemelä.

The Winner Exhibition closed the weekend of the fair
A total of around 6 800 dogs took part in the two shows on Sunday. Of these, around 6 800 dogs took part in the Winner 2025 show and more than 800 in the Winner Puppy Show 2025.
350 different breeds of dogs were represented at the day’s shows. The highest number of dogs entered were Labrador Retrievers (94), Australian Shepherds (82), Golden Retrievers (81), Long Haired Collies (77) and Shetland Sheepdogs (73).
Dogs from 20 different countries participated in the shows. After Finland, the largest number of participants came from Sweden (181) and Estonia (135). The most distant participants came from Japan.
