In 1996, I married into the dog world. 33 years old and finally I got dogs, which I had dreamed about since childhood. My new family member was a Bouvier des Flandres youngster and as our marriage present to ourselves, we bought a new Bouvier in Belgium. When I married Erik, one of his best friends warned: “You will get a Zoo!” She was right. Soon after, our household consisted of 3 Bouviers, 1 Puli and 2 Sealyham terriers with more to come. At the same time, I started a long career as voluntary helper and board member in specialist clubs and later in The Danish Kennel Club (2013-2017). In 2012, I passed examination on my first 5 breeds as a judge: Bouvier des Flandres, Puli and Australian Shepherd, Briard and Schipperke. Nowadays I am a Group judge forFCI group 1 and judge more breeds from Group 2 and 9. Under the affix MIERLA’S, we have bred Bouvier des Flandres, Puli, Sealyham Terrier and these years English Bulldogs and Affenpinschers. We are active dog show people and we also have been involved in equestrian sports. Since 2009 - 2017 i acted as toast master at all international dog shows in Denmark. Highlight was the World Dog Show in 2010.
