My name is Jean-Pierre Achtergael and I own the Dalmatian affix Of the Green Garden since 1982. I bought my first Dalmatian female and was very lucky that she was of excellent quality. I made her Belgian, French, German and International Champion and hence my show career started. Since then I have owned and bred several champions and showing became my passion. A few years later I decided to become a show judge. So I passed the exams and became judge in 1992. My first breed was Dalmatian and second Rhodesian Ridgeback as the standard of Rhodesian was based on the Dalmatian standard. I am passionate for both breeds always looking for perfect specimens both in type and movement. In the mean while I am FCI judge for groups 6 and 7. Since 1992 I judged at international dog shows in most European countries such as Russia, Finland, Estonia, Croatia, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Denmark and Sweden. I have also judged in Canada and Australia.
