Harri Lehkonen’s first dog was a Rough Collie he got as a child. Later on, he has participated for 50 years in breeding of wire and smooth-haired Fox Terriers and prior to that, also English Springer Spaniels and long-haired Dachshunds in his wife’s kennel Wolfheart. Harri Lehkonen became a dog show judge in 1982 and has judged in some 40 countries on all continents. Today, he is an allrounder judge. He has also officiated as a judge at underground hunting trials for Terriers and Dachshunds. He’s served for years in the Lahti International Dog Show committee and has been in different committees of the Finnish Kennel Club and was also the Chair of the Finnish Kennel Club’s Board. He’s been awarded with the Finnish Kennel Club’s and Finnish Terrier Association’s golden badge of honour.
