I have lived with dogs my whole life. Our first dog came into my family before I was born – it was a red Irish Setter. When I was 10 years old, our first Labrador Retriever arrived, and since then I’ve been hooked on the breed, so that makes 54 years with Labradors. The first terrier came 30 years ago, and nowadays we have a Cairn Terrier in addition to the Labradors and Finnish Spitzes. Over the years, I have judged dogs in 31 different countries. At the moment, I have judging rights for all breeds in groups 1–8 and 10, and additionally for a few breeds in group 9.
