Hello! My name is Geno Sisneros, and I live in Montgomery, Alabama in the USA. I am an optometrist and former tennis teaching professional. My life began with a German Shepherd Dog in the home, and I had a couple other dogs over the years. I found my first Pomeranian in 1998 and under the Castile kennel name have bred or finished 50 AKC champions with multiple all-breed, specialty, bred-by exhibitor, and owner-handled best in show winners, as well as champions in Canada, Europe, and Russia. For a few years I owned and exhibited Japanese Chin, Pekingese, and Kuvasz, even breeding a champion Kuvasz. It seemed natural to progress to judging, and in 2015 I began the process to judge Pomeranians. I currently judge most of the AKC toy group as well as Kuvasz, poodles, and Finnish Spitz and am working on finishing the toy group and other Spitz breeds.
I served as President of the Kuvasz Club of America from 2020-2022 after several years as Vice President. I also served as President of The American Pomeranian Club from 2019-2022 after three terms as 2nd Vice President, am on the Judges Education Committee, have been the AKC Delegate since 2009, and in 2019 received the AKC Outstanding Sportsmanship Award. I am past-President of my local all-breed club, the Montgomery Kennel Club, and am also a member of the Pekingese Club of America, Bay Colony Pomeranian Club, Swedish Pomeranian Club, and the prestigious Morris & Essex Kennel Club. As much as I love dogs, I love to travel and see new places and meet new people…and I love food.
I am honored and thrilled to be invited to judge the Finnish Kennel Club “Winner” shows 2023 and look forward to seeing some amazing dogs. Thank you!
