Fausto Cavalieri, DVM. I bought my first Borzoi from a Swiss kennel when I was seventeen years old and over the years, I imported others from United Kingdom, Australia and Russia. I also owned and showed Irish Wolfhound and Italian Greyhound.
Since I grew up with Dachshunds and Italian Segugio, I feel particularly involved following and judging these breeds. I achieved European and World Winner titles showing our Segugio and recently, my Dachshund - a standard wire-haired - finished at ten months old in the United States with multiple Best of Varieties over champions, group placements and a Best Puppy in Show.
I am a FCI ENCI Judge forGroup 1 (most breeds), Group 4, Group 6 (Italian Segugio short-haired, Italian Segugio wire-haired, Segugio Maremmano, Segugio dell’Appennino), Group 8, Group 10.
As a Judge I had the honor of judging in several countries of the European Union, Russia, USAespecially Sighthounds specialty judging assignments. I am also Mentor judge for aspiring judges of Borzoi, President of Gruppo Cinofilo Aquilano that every year organizes an International Dog Show, besides fields tests for hunting breeds andENCI Appointed Board Member to the Italian Newfoundland Club (CIT).
