I became a dog show judge in 2002. At the time of writing this, I’m qualified to judge breeds from FCI groups 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10. I’ve been a Schnauzer person ever since I was born. My parents bred a few litters of pepper and salt Miniature Schnauzers, and I got my first very own dog 55 years ago.
I breed classic black and silver Miniature Schnauzers under prefix Afunique. Right now, our house is missing its Giant Schnauzer male, a significant and traditional member of our family. For more than a decade, its place was held by a charming Irish Wolfhound male. For now, he’s been my only dog from outside the Schnauzer family – time will tell if he shall remain the only one.
I judge a lot and the remaining time, I intensely study breeds that are new to me. I breed rarely and I’m very grateful to my puppy owners who year after year take good care of their dogs and in addition to other dog sports also show their dogs.
