I am an economist, married to Tanya Ahlman-Stockmari and a father to already grown up daughter Nora. I got my kennel name Sassatown in 1975 and in 2020 I gave it to my daughter. I become involved with dogs in 1969, back then my breed was the Australian Terrier. During the last four centuries, I have bred Australian Terriers, Cairn Terriers, Scottish Deerhounds, Irish Wolfhounds, Pekingese, Poodles, Pomeranians, Shar Peis and Finnish Lapphunds. I have owned and showed other breeds as well. My Australian import, Taralee Bobby Dazzler, was the first Australian Terrier to win Best in Show in Finland in the 1980s. In 2009, we sent an Australian Terrier male bred by Tanya, Stranger's Blue Buick, to Australia. He came back a year later as an Australian Champion, he has also achieved 15 other titles. Buick is the first Australian Terrier bred in Europe to achieve the Champion title of the breed's home country. He also came second in the Terrier group during his visit. Buick has a few litters in Australia. We have his son, Australian Champion Sinclyde Strangers Boomerang and his daughter, also Australian Champion Xanhorrhoea From Down Under (group winner in her home country). In other words, we have three Australian Champion Aussies at home. The Scottish Deerhound C.I.B & FI & EE Ch Sassatown Adair was twice Best in Show at the Breed Speciality. At the moment, we have two Scottish Deerhound from the same litter, Ch Sassatown Alejandro and Ch Sassatown Annie Oakley. We also have two white Pekingese at home, multi Champion Sassatown Tricky Woo and his son, multi Champion Sassatown Bartuk of Strangers. In the late 1970s, I lived for some time at the famous Pharaoh Hound kennel Merymuth in England.
